PAOLO

PESSARELLI

I THINK OF THE MOLTITUDE OF LIVES AND

AT THE SAME TIME OF THEIR UNIQUENESS,

THE VALUE OF PAST INDIVIUDAL STORIES

THAT HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN OVER TIME

Writing a biography is telling an experience, although an individual's experience is something elusive.

Ronald Laing writes that all men are invisible to one another and that this non-transferable experience is what is usually called the soul.

I was born in Milan in December 1959; I graduated in economics and attended free courses at the Brera Art Academy. I carried out a career as manager with a pharmaceutical multinational. I have a son who is a wonderful man.

I have constantly conveyed what I have learnt, my emotions and daily awareness into the artistic project that represents the reservoir of my life and to which I decided to devote myself in an exclusive manner to try and tell it.

Because art is a quality that permeates an experience. (John Dewey)

Meetings with artists in my studio, curated by Angela Madesani.

The artists' work dialogues with my works and is presented through an interview and questions from the audience. The content of each meeting is then collected and printed in a notebook of words and images.
